Demystifying emissions data with the experts behind the Carbon Direct Platform
Establishing a carbon footprint is often the first step towards taking climate action. But interpreting emissions data, and then turning it into an actionable roadmap, is not straightforward. To solve this challenge, Carbon Direct has recently launched enhancements to the emissions report in our Platform to help organizations more easily interpret emissions data, and directly connect it to carbon reductions guidance and carbon credit purchasing.
The interactive emissions report: expert insight for building your climate strategy
With the updated Measure emissions report, Carbon Direct analyzes, interprets, and reports on emissions data to make it actionable for clients.
Emissions data is categorized as Scope 1, Scope 2, or Scope 3 under the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. Emissions are then further delineated into sub-categories for a nuanced portrait of a company's emissions breakdown. Our Platform automatically captures relevant emissions data and runs it through a proprietary emissions calculator to give consistent and actionable results. Each emissions report is then re-reviewed and refined by our team of carbon accounting experts to ensure accuracy.
Once the measurement exercise is complete, clients get access to their audit-ready emissions report.
Explore an interactive emissions visual that segments emissions by GHG Protocol Scope, sub-scope and industry standard categories, with interpretive guidance as to what each segment is and why it is meaningful.
Drill down into emissions hotspots through category aggregation to understand the highest-emitting activities and how our carbon accounting experts arrived at each calculation.
Enterprise-tier clients then get customized recommendations about future reductions strategies and can use their report as a baseline for tracking progress on climate goals.
We’re always looking for more ways to make carbon management more accessible through both our technology and the latest research. With the release of this state-of-the-art emissions report, we hope to help organizations spend less time interpreting data and more time building a strategy for reducing and removing emissions.
